How I Work

My practice of Feng Shui includes looking and listening to the place and listening to the client on different levels. On the mundane level, I take into account things like the furnishings and the structure of buildings, i.e. doors, windows, walls, stoves, beds, desks, shapes. These are things I can physically see on site or on a floor plan. On a transcendental level or spiritual level, there are unseen factors that come through only on a feeling level or through intuition. At this level, not only do I depend on a grounded understanding of the fundamentals of Feng Shui, but also on my connection to spirit and my clients stories and situations. Consequently there are mundane solutions such as moving furniture, using color and light and there are transcendental solutions, i.e. the use of mirrors, space clearing, ceremonies and blessings. When making my recommendations, I take into account what is seen and unseen of the place and the client, creating a holistic picture of the situation.

Every person and every building is different, each bringing their unique background, karma and experience to the situation. This creates a one-size-does-not-ever-fit-all situation; there are always many different ways to apply Feng Shui. The art of Feng Shui is knowing how to apply the science in any given situation. What a client might need and what is really going on is not always visible. My intention is to be clear that my intuition is connected with true guidance and the highest good of the person and the place.

A Complete Feng Shui Consultation For Your Home Will:

We will discuss the issues you want help with and the history of your home. I will survey your home and property and give you my evaluation and recommendations. You will receive specific recommendations and solutions to correct the energetic imbalances in your home and enhance the energy flow for your highest good. If money is an issue, then I do my best to give you recommendations with in your budget emphasizing how to make the most out of what you already have. I will let you know if follow up appointments and space clearing are advised. Each appointment with me includes some time over the phone or email for follow up questions. A complete Feng Shui consultation for the home will take 2-3 hours.

Space Clearing Ceremonies and Blessing Ceremonies:
Black Sect Feng Shui offers a lineage of ceremonies rooted in the Bon and Buddhist traditions. These ceremonies are used to help in a variety of situations such as; clearing predecessor energy when there has been a divorce, bankruptcy, a death, robberies or illness or anytime there is a need for protection or a blessing such as; breaking ground or starting a new business. At the time of our appointment I will let you know if I recommend a ceremony for your home or business.

The Red Envelope Tradition:
In BTB Feng Shui it is customary to give red envelopes filled with money to the practitioner at the time of your appointment. Each appointment will require anywhere from 9 to 27 red envelopes. When you make your appointment I will give you more information about the red envelopes.
