Plant Spirit Medicine

Plant Spirit Medicine is the synthesis of Classical Chinese Five Element Medicine and a shamanic way of working with plants. Plants generously offer themselves as food and medicine. Plant Spirits can help bring our lives back into balance and harmony.

Plant Spirit Medicine (PSM) is a form of spiritual healing. PSM reaches beyond symptomatic relief and touches a person at the spirit level. Instead of using plants in the form of teas, pills or tinctures, the plant spirits travel through the practitioner’s hands to the client bringing a very deep medicine. This transmission comes from an intimate friendship between the practitioner and the plants. People who receive PSM treatments experience increased overall wellbeing and emotional balance. Difficult emotional issues and “stuckness” are transformed into a more peaceful, harmonious way of being. As the Plant Spirits bring people what they need at this deep level, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness will follow. This type of spiritual healing is the most effective over the long term. The frequency of treatments will vary with each person.

After experiencing the life-changing healing of Plant Spirit Medicine as a client myself, I studied to become a Plant Spirit Medicine Healer with the intention of helping others. I took the Plant Spirit Medicine Practitioner Training Course with Eliot Cowan, and graduated in April 2008. I continue my training with Mr. Cowan.
